Yeah, it's because of the Hero 2. I heard they are finally fixing the jello effect that happens with vibration, amoung other things.

other than that...any other add ons that would make Hero 2 stand out from Hero 1?

Improved specs all around. Plus some new accessories. The best of which (IMO) will be released Q1 2012: WIFI back pod. It allows you to remotely control the camera via a controller or a smart phone. And it'll output video to the smartphone so you can use it as a view finder. Should be interesting, especially to folks like me who hard mount them in places that are a little harder to reach the buttons on.

I'm waiting to see the wifi thingy released and reviewed before I suppliment my Hero 1 with a new Hero 2. I imagine I'll use both. Probably the Hero 1 as a helmet cam, and the Hero 2 on the bike.
