Lightbulb Does scooting count lol?

New to the forum, but not new to riding at least on a 150cc Johnway scooter.

Haven't rode in over five years since selling my scooter do to living in an apartment complex. Kids was messing with it all the time so i sold it before it got stolen.

Starting to miss the riding experience. Looking it to getting a Hyosung GT250r.
Like how it looks like a full size bike but has the 250cc. My delima is alot of my friends/ co-workers say i should get a 600cc do to my size: Im 5' 10" 260 and stocky bulit.

What you guys think?

BTW found you guys YouTube video by Olivierjudge64 he has a Gt250R.

a bike is a bike...no shame in starting on a 250r. Start small and do it safely. you you are ready, you can move up to a 600CC. you'd be surprised how fast a 250 can go on the track.

welcome to MH

Welcome!

If your really looking for a 600, look up the ninja650r and sv650s. Both great starter bikes and still has decent power to where you don't get bored.

@Joshua42007 yeah i have to start all over helmet, gloves, bike, MSF and the whole sha-bang. Funny part is my wife is so excited about me wanting to ride again that she's gotten the bug after she sat on Ninja 650r, so looks like my starting cost just increased x2. dammit. Thats all the more reason im looking at the hyosung do to cheap cost but ill keep my eyes open not planning on buying til Feb 2011 if all goes as planned
