Need some help, wheel is bent

So my bike is currently in the shop. Before I took my MSF course, I was practicing in a parking lot. Yes I know that was stupid, because I ended up hitting a curb. I dented both wheels. The guy at the shop says he can straighten out the front wheel but I need to get a new back one.

Does anyone know where I could find a back wheel for a 2011 Kawasaki Ninja 250 for pretty cheap. It can be used, as long as I can drive on it.

Lol no way a dealer said that? Do yourself a favor and go get your bike from the dealer....take it to Motorcycles Unlimited and have them take a look at it. The cost of fixing it may be more than a new wheel but the way it sounds if u just bent them on a curb u might be lucky and it won't be to expensive.

No worries. Glad to see you're okay. You live and learn, right? I've done some pretty dumb things on my bike but I use those experiences to learn from.

If that shop doesn't work out, then the cheapest rim I saw on ebay was for about $150 shipped. It was an 09 rim but I believe it is the same exact model for the 08-11.

Yeah, if you get that rim or another rim like it, you can take it to Motorcycles Unlimited or a motorcycle shop and they'll grab everything they need off your old wheel and put it on that used rim making it as good as new.

Btw, hold off on purchasing off ebay just yet. I've picked up some great parts off of wrecked bikes before including a brake rotor of a bike at Motorcycles Unlimited. If you call around to various shops, they may have a wrecked 09+ 250 with a perfect rear rim waiting for you. You just never know

Haha it's cool. It's short for Motorcycles Unlimited. It's a motorcycle shop in North/Northwest Houston with a pretty awesome rep. They are also a sponsor on here so their info is in the sponsor section.

So I just called Motorcycles Unlimited and also found very cheap rims on ebay. So I might just purchase those rims, (so they match), and have Motorcycles Unlimited install everything. If anyone has any cheaper ways to do this, I'm all ears

Your in much better hands at Motorcycles Unlimited than a dealership. Only go to the dealer for warranty work IMO. GL and happy riding.

You nay also try Sams cycles near downtown. They might gave some wheels in stock for a good price.
