Thats why my TL1000R has upgraded brakes and suspension, and is on a severe diet plan.

Still down a bit on HP but much better torque curve.

Correct answer is depends on the track... A tight track with few straightaways the SV1000 has the upperhand... if there are long straightaways the SV could kill in the corners but have problems staying ahead during the straights. It is a matter of opinion...

Given equal rider skill you're saying the SV would perform better in the corners than the SS bike that weighs 50lbs less? I'm not that familiar with SVs, but that sounds a little odd to me.

On no track would an SV1000 have the upper hand against a GSXR750... stock for stock.

The SV's have bargain suspension, and are about 20 hp down on the GSXR. The only place the SV would gain would be on grunt coming out of corners.. and that would depend on what gear the GSXR rider was in.
