It's a standard style 52 cm road bike frame.

Color would be something like a cream or off-white, high gloss.

It would come to you with all paint removed.

Tim here has done numerous jobs on all kinds of parts for me and buddies of mine,

$80 a rim for a new color he came up w is not bad at all,, you go any were else and pay about the same for flat colors.
one thing is for sure you always get what you pay for, Tim always suprises me with the work he does,

Now IF you want some cheap quality work Tim is not the guy to go too!!

Scooter-trash's price sounds pretty close to fair, I would say... I got a 1978 XS650 frame & swingarm ( + brake torque arm ) done for $ 225, but ALL of it was CLEAN & ready for silicone plugging & coating -- NO cleaning, etching, etc was included, nor was needed - I hydro-blasted, then bead-blasted prior to delivery to "coater"...

My guess is, his charge would not have been substanially lower. Maybe with the automation and volume he mentioned, he could have done it a little cheaper but then you have to assume there would be a loss of hands-on attention to detail and quality as well.

I think he was a little offbase to step into a community and accuse someone of " rape".
But then what would you expect? Chicagoans are not known for their tact.
I was simply asking for other options, and because I had already talked to tim. Then some of you guys got all hurt because I asked for other options becides the sponsor. To be honest I'm not paying for it, it's for two of my costumers bikes. When I told them, they even said the same thing. Even after telling them Tim was highly recamended. They wanted other options. So that's why I'm asking for other options, because I know with all the people on this site, not everyone has gone through Tim.

if I was to recommend someone else to ask, it would be Spectrum Powdercoating on the far n/w side, He does excellent work and is a good guy as well.
Call him for a quote, I have no clue what his rates are, but it wouldnt hurt to call. At least you know it will be done right which can't be said for all.

Don't matter who you are, you gotta respect Tim for that.
Fair and close enough to a resolution.
Now the rest of ya'll quit being so dramatic.

I've had many bike parts done there. Been very happy and very nice for the prices. I paid 120 for Rims/Rear set/Sub-frame/Swing Arm to be painted in 4 days
