So after a typical walk around with the new owner the owner fired up the bike and the employee went back inside to assist a waiting customer. About 30 seconds later he said he heard the bike wind out, the clutch dump, and then the metal building shake with a loud bam! Went outside and there lay fat Albert with a totaled out new ZX-6R on its side. Suprised it didn't take his hand off, or worse. Yes, that's his dumbass smiling about it and taking pics in the photo.
Classic.

He couldn't handle the bike, why?

Poetic justice like a . All the times I've dealt with people who brag like they're the hottest to touch two wheels, and I really thought they only did that when talking to random people in public. Didn't think they'd do it at a dealership. Really it's the dealership's fault for selling; state law prevents them from selling w/o ins., which in turn requires the MSF & "M".

But hey, not their problem once it's paid for, right?

Yeah 07 or 08 I believe not a 636 and not a 09 and up. Might have found someone dumb enough to buy one they didn't sell??

pretty funny. i saw that happen before at a dealer i worked at, guy came in and swore he rode and bought a brand new Kawi Vulcan Mean Streak Special Edition...gorgeous red and black bike, he did the same, revved too high popped the clutch and laid it out right away. They told me about another one the guy got down the road and popped a wheelie on his buddies brand new zx6 (buyer could not ride and had a friend ride it home for him)lost control and put it into the ditch on the other side of the road...passing through oncoming traffic.

Fracking waste. I was out riding this morning going south on 99 waiting to get on 59 north. A guy on some bike spun out his rear wheel trying to impress me, then flamed and almost lost the bike. I passed him making a nice acceleration thru the turn on my 07 EX 500, he looked like an idiot burning that real wheel with no gear, no helmet on.
If I was selling bikes I would not let anyone on that could not ride their own bike to the dealer, period.

It isn't the dealers responsibility to determine his customers experience level and it's a dangerous road to suggest it is.
If that became the prevailing wisdom there would be no dealers because nobody would want the legal exposure to a mistake.

When a rich kid goes and buys a corvette and promptly wrecks it, nobody points a finger at the dealer.
The kid has a license, money and insurance... he's good to go.

, if he has cash he can take the bike without a license OR insurance. It's HIS .
