If you act casual enough about anything, no one will thinktwice...

Gotta have a lot of nerves...

I've seen videos on youtube of people stealing so casually in mid day...

He has a fantastic idea. If you saved the receipt you might be able to catch them on the mc donald camera when purchasing their food. Or better yet, their license plate from the drive through

If anyone has any information leading to the recovery of my dads bikes, i promise you will be rewarded handsomely.

If i happen to find out that anyone on here had anything to do with it, believe me, i will hunt you down.

The McDonald's ideas sound easy, but how would we know which McDonald's they came from?

There is not a McDonald's near the Home Depot, and the nearest ones are miles away - it's cold evidence

Even though the chances are slim at this point... I hope we find these bikes...

the reciept should have the store number and address on it.

on another note, it's hard to properly secure a trailer. you can have the right lock, and other security measures, but all that really does is keep the maybe not so honest people honest. if someone wants it bad enough, they can get it.

I've had issues with someone not returning a jetski that belonged to me. it took all of 20 seconds to replace the coupler on that trailer and hitch it to my truck. i was able to do that before they could even get out the front door.

Sorry guys, I wasn't even thinking!

The reciept would have the address with a time/date, so I hope he kept it...

Truck insurance didn't cover my bike.

According to the police, there was no receipt in the McD's bag. Lots of garbage, no receipt.

I got a copy of the police report today. Some info that I had sent across was not included (i.e. LP number that was attached to the trailer). It also had me listed as 83 years old. WTH??? I am old, but not that old.

I talked to insurance today (Allstate), and no, nothing is covered by my auto insurance. They suggested that any items I had loose on the trailer or in the bed of the truck that were taken might be covered by homeowners insurance (of course after I get past my $3400 deductable).

Basically, I am hosed. Sucks for sure.

That's f#$%'ed up but so very true. How some people will unass certain information for there own benefit but keep quiet to protect someone else. Then and complain when it happens to them. If I know someone is a thief, I turn my back on them and wipe my hands clean. There is nothing stopping them from stealing from your ...

If I had any information I'd offer it up just to be involved in the beat-down.

The thieves are getting out of control. One of my places got hit and the cops DID NOT RESPOND to the burglary-in-progress call from the neighbor. Could've caught them red-handed. NOPE. Can't be bothered with trying to stop crime.

My direct loss was minor compared to the OP, but maybe when some thieves start showing up dead the damned cops will start paying attention. Otherwise, they clearly don't care - so why should they care when we start shooting thieves?

me off to no end. And yeah, I'm watching C-list for what I lost. Calling the cops is clearly pointless, so I'll handle it. Just need them to pop up and show me where they are.

Happy hunting OP. Sorry for your loss.

I have been scouring CL, PB and Ebay for recognizable items, and have turned up nothing. I will keep looking.
