Stolen: Two (2) GSXR1Ks and Hauler

Friday, 11/18/2011 sometime between 7:50 and 8:40PM, my bike hauler along with my '07 GSXR1000 and my '08 GSXR1000 were stolen from The Woodlands area. Thankfully, they did not take my truck.

Details on the bikes:

2007 GSX-R1000 (Yellow / Black), Turbocharged
VIN JS1GT77A772103499, LP: 4KW082
Identifiers: ~5" tall filter cut out through right side fairing, single ovaled ~2" stainless dump from the turbocharger directly in front of the rear wheel. Had an ~4" square digital indian (purple/yellow) decal on the front headlight. Bike was very quiet at idle and LOUD when over 6500RPM.

2008 GSX-R1000 (White / Silver)
VIN JS1GT77A682107223, LP: 4H2354
Identifiers: very clean silver/white, GSXR1000, not many in this color combo that are clean. Bike was prestine. Full Yoshimura exhaust (header and muffler). Custom LP hanger that tucked the LP all the way up to the fairings. Just a very clean simple '08 GSXR1000.

Bike Hauler
Purchased "SnowBear" Expandable 5' x 8' trailer (black), with 12" tires (white rims) in ~2003. The floor was replaced with Aluminum diamondplate (painted black), with two (2) motorcycle chocks bolted into the front floor. The chocks were specifically built to have 3'8" clearance on a 120/17 series front tire (also painted black). It had tie downs on the outside and "U" shaped tiedowns that were in the center front and back. LP: N66YKW

I happened to snap a pic (very poor quality) yesterday as I was loading due to my neighbor pulling up and revving the engine as I was blocking one side of the cul-de-sac.

If anyone sees the bikes or the hauler, please contact me.

Thanks for the comments from all.

Many people have seen these bikes. Some at the house, some at the local corner (Exit 73) in the Woodlands.

Bikes were not taken from the House. They were taken while parked outside at a local business. Lock was cut and laying on the ground. Either I did not notice when I pulled in, or thieves left at scene, several bags of McDonald's trash.

Go figure.... two bikes and hauler for McDonald's trash...

They cut the lock on the hitch and left with the trailer?

Sorry to hear that man.

I'd guess it was someone watching, and following you, waiting for a good shot.

The officer said they used a large bolt cutters and snapped the lock (said it was a perfect clean break), lifted the tongue and probably set it on a waiting vehicle hitch. My ramp was left in the bed of the truck.

They said this kind of stuff happens all the time. He said I will need to make sure to take extra precaustions to secure my next hauler. One of the officers said that if you walk up and act like you are supposed to be doing what you are doing, then people typically do not notice. There were peopl around. No one seemed to notice.

What else can you do? I used the safety chains, and had the tongue locked.

The one mistake I did do was I parked at the very end of the parking lot so no one would park nearby or mess with the bikes. Officer said it is better to park right up front, but still may have happened if the theif behaves proper.

Me and my son were supposed to go ride today. Not happening.

I'd say get a better lock, maybe another lock in line with the safety chains.

Another idea on tandem axles is to lock the two rims on one side together. On a single axle trailer I guess you could chain the rim to the trailer somehow, to keep it from rolling.

That really sucks that nobody noticed anything......I would think I would notice someone lifting a trailer off one truck and putting it onto another truck.......either way, like i said, ill keep an eye out up here

I hate hearing things like this :(

Even if you did have full coverage, you never get back the time you put in. Really sad
