What year is this R6?

Hey folks,
Can you guys tell me the year of this R6? I'm being told its an 08 but the exhaust looks like its from an 05. I figured one of you hard core Yamaha guys would know.

Good point on the forks not being upside down. He's insisting it's an 08. I just asked for a pic of the VIN.

Could be an 08 the "s" didn't come with usd forks

I should have clarified by saying 03/04 model, could be late registered, it happens!

05 on also had larger injector bodies fyi

Looks like an 08...it's an R6s

The R6s is kind of like the Kawi zzr600 but in the yamaha world. In the fact they are building a new bike with old styling and technology....,
