Few guys have hitches on their cars and use a lightweight, single runner trailer to haul the bike. It's not much more weight than taking home two drunk fat chics from the bar.

if it is something you think you are going to continue (and once you go you will) and you only have a small car... northern tool and harbor freight have small fold up trailers that are light weight, will fold up and slide to the side of a garage and handle one bike real well, and in fact a few guys carry two bikes on them... I have one and I really like it...
but if you are not sure about continuing, you can post up what part of town you are in and see if anyone here on the forum can give you a lift... or as has been mentioned uhaul rents a small trailer and bumper hitch that you can use for a one time shot pretty inexpensively...
oh, and you will like fastline... good folks... and I think GSS is a great track for a first track day.. smaller, tighter, more technical and a little slower than the larger tracks...expect to be tired at the end of the day, and maybe a little sore...

they make a hitch for a protege, i have a protege5 and have seen them. had a hitch on the miata, and have towed a motorcycle w/ it before.

look on ebay for a trailer hitch.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1999-2003-MA...item439b653eb8

this late in the game, try and rent a truck and barrow a ramp or hitch a ride w/ somebody.

Trust me.
You are gonna like trackdays and you will want to continue. All it takes is one hit on the track pipe and you are hooked.
Soon you will have a truck with a ramp, a modified bike and no money.

And you will be glad.

I pull all kinds of stuff with my car and trailer... WAY better than a truck note, and a lot better gas milage!
