Whoever is the group leader should brief the group as to what rules and group etiquete will be in effect.
You folks need to be aware of the rider level of the people in your group.
Its too easy to get sucked in and crash because not everyone's rider skills are the same.

Alot of good information guys!!! Just to give everyone an idea of my experience level since I'm a newbie and haven't riden with any of you, I have 6500 miles on my bike thankfully without incident, I definetly ride at my own pace and within my limitations. Looking forward to ridin in the group with the goal of learning, being safe and havin fun.

ok here it is 11:00am saturday meeting at wafflehouse on hwy6 and i-10. (southwest) the wafflehouse is in front of sam's club. Kickstands up at 11:30am. Riding to brookshire, killler Bar b que for lunch. cost about 5 to 8 bucks.

I would like to go. I am a slow rider but I know it so I wont try to ride beyond my abilities. This will also be the first time I have ridden in a group larger than 3 so I will hang at the back and see where I fit in.

You leading this ride?
If so, I'd like to recomend you set rules for the ride prior to take off.
Also, print several maps if you are going to use them.
Pass them out to several riders.
And pick a rider to cover the rear to ensure all riders are counted for at each stop.
