That would be awesome! I want that bike!!

With that said, I do ride the 919 on the track. Compared to all the Nakeds in its class, it's always been criticized to be the most bland and boring to ride. But I have a blast on it. It can get frustrating at times, because it is a relatively heay bike when going up against the sportbikes, but my attitude then focuses back on what it is I love about a Standard motorcycle. It's more about how to handle this "machine"... this motorcycle... ON the track vs. piloting a purpose built sportbike to get the most out of that track (if that makes any sense).

Put it this way... I took my buddy's R6 for a lap or 2 around TWS (Texas World Speedway) last year, and the first thing I noticed was how effortless it was to navigate that bike around the track. I didn't feel like I had to wrestle it through the corners, because it was so easy to turn in and it would go exactly where I looked for it to go. I loved it for sure, and upon getting back on my 919, I realized what a huge difference it was in terms of weight and performance. But the experience seemed almost "sterile" to me, because it wasn't about this machine anymore. It was about THAT track, but that sense of "man vs. the machine" was lost, and that's what really does it for me. I won't lie, though... I would love to have both options, and see just how well I can take on a track with a trackbike for just that purpose.

while the FZ6 is more then track worthy, i'd recommend your 954 cuz its worth less and if you toss it down the track, it would hurt less financially.

lol, you guys. I loooove my 954. I don't even like riding it everyday to work for fear of something happening to it. My wife's bike, well, my wife is already thinking of getting something else. We kinda don't have any attachment to it(other than financially). I have never ridden on the track. I'd like to start with something more forgiving. I'd like to learn the basics, corner entry, maintaining my line trhough a corner, braking points all that. I figure it would be easier if I wasn't worring about all that power.

I loooooove my Aprila RSV too. So to show it love, I put it on the track where it can actually be used like it was designed.

Doing only street riding on a bike you love is like having a 10/10 girlfriend, and only fingering her.

I rode 225's cb1000r in Louisiana, that thing is fun. I did not however like the bars at all. It needs low wide bars..

Have you ridden the CBR1k much yet? If no I have a 08 you can try out to see. I love the DRZ and YZ450 motard and want nothing else on the track. I rode the CBR at TWS (Texas World Speedway) for 2 session on stock adjusted suspension and thought I was going to rattle my teeth out it sucked. But I love it for longer street rides and road trips.

I have also always loved the Z1000 or Ducati super motards. Thought many times about getting one for the streets.

I think he is interested in the CB1000R, not the CBR1000. He also rode the Ducati HyperMotard and hated it
