Done with Sportbikes?

So I just recently bought back my 2007 R6 that I sold my buddy back in Febuary. Ive since also sold my 2007 ZX6R and bought a 2009 DRZ400 Super Moto which I love to death I've spent some money in the tard to get it the way I want it and I feel like I can ride that thing anyway, anywhere and so confident. I feel very much in control when Im on the tard. But I recently started riding the R6 I bought back and all I can say is I hate it!!! Its so phucking uncomfortable, I dont really feel in control and it doesnt feel right too me anymore.

Im thinking of buying a standard sport liter bike like a CB1000R or a Ninja 1000.

How many of you have felt this way?

I really want to keep the R6 so I can track it because I miss riding tracks other than GSS. And to top it all off Fast line wont be at GSS as much as they were this year

Any one track a standard sport bike? How does it feel? I saw a guy on an FZ1 at GSS this last time and he was rippin it

FZ6? I figured it was a FZ1 cuz of the under tail exhaust. It's was a real skinny dude right? Either way he was ripping it, I was showing him a front tire alot that day and he finally let me pass in the straight

Hmmm maybe.....they look more of a cross between a sport bike and Motard which I'm not sure I like....I rode a Hypermotard 1100 at GSS and I wasn't impressed at all with it...

No FZ1 has an undertail exhaust unless it is a custom job. There is nothing wrong with wanting to be comfortable on a ride. ..and as you have seen you can still tear it up on a standard.

Ahhh ok I must have mixed up the 2.

And there is a lot of sense in that statement I guess I need to look past the "have to have a fast looking bike" stigma

That would be him-stock engine and exhaust. He found some fairings and threw them on. He's cheap as well and funny as .

Adam give me a call. I have tracked out the Bandit and i love it. i have given up on the GSXR1000 and have completely fallen in love with the Bandit on the track. its not the best choice if you are looking to race but its a very capable bike and very comfortable on the track. Even my old has been able to muscle it around at MSRH to the tune of a 1:49. Not race pace but it still moves pretty good and a of alot more comfortable than a sport bike. ill PM you my # if you dont have if.

have you experienced the fun and flickability of a late model litrebike? think of your old busa but with 100# less and a 600's wheelbase

I don't know that I'm done with super sports, but my next bike will be something a lot more comfortable. Thinking either a Sportster or an 848 Streetfighter.

Once you ride a comfortable bike you will never want to go back to a sport bike. After riding a Tuono and SV100 for three years I had a fireblade for all of 3 months. I hated it. To me sportbikes are only good for one thing and I don't make it to the track very often so owning one is like owning a semi truck to commute to the office with.
