Believe it or not, your bike has more hp than mine.
Mine had 63 on rear when it dynoed.

I hear ya. Mine has 75 hp stock +10hp from the Holeshot mods (pipe, stage 2 kit, etc), although probably this is not at rear wheel. It also has new sprockets that increase the torque . The downside is that this decreased the top speed went from 150 to 120 mph and now the engine revs up very quickly, making you feel like the engine is working hard to maintain high speeds.

Another difference is that the Bandit is a heavier bike, and I am not quite the "svelte silouette" that U r and for sure not as experienced a rider.

I've been checking the website for rides this weekend but did not see anything. Maybe I am not checking in the right place. Do you know of any rides coming up?

Don't know.
I normally don't do group rides.
I ride alone most the time.
Good luck with finding a group and be careful about who you are riding with.
Hope you can find a decent group to ride with and stick with them.
