I hate Celicas. The Corolla isn't really that great IMO. Not because of the car itself, but because of the price on them. I couldn't spend 3k on a 20 year old beat to Corolla, but maybe that's just me. I'd probably just find an old fox body. I saw a guy drift(attempt) an old DPS fox body. . . was pretty fun.

starting w/ a corolla is similar to "starting small" in the bike world, learn to do it then move on to bigger and better things.

besides a fix chasis is to heavy, do they all have IRS?

2nd gen rx7 turbo 2. nothing easier to drift and you can find one that has been maintained they can be very reliable. I have owned two - both of them had long and fruitful lives

first rule of thumb is electric fans because of heat issues, especially with a rotary.

per earlier notations of the miata.... unless you are going to be able to turbo it then don't waste your time. They handle too good to drift unless the power is upped big time. Now if you want to auto-x then you can't go wrong.

the problem with a miata drifting out of the box is the rear sway bar is too small = precise handling. Throw on a bigger one, or undo it completly if you want it to be more swing happy. I Just learned to learn with that "problem" giving me the ability to easily own on any other RWD car I use.

I HIGHLY reccomend staying away from a rx7, because they ARE NOT to be taken lightly, they are not a car that enjoys being abused and put away wet.
I would hate to see another one end up in the junkyard.
