Vortex Rearsets

Is 299 shipped a good price on Vortex Adjustable Rearsets? I think I want some for my track bike soon.

Sounds like it is.

Here's some other ideas under 300... http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from...All-Categories

Unless you have clearance issues I would hold off until it breaks. The closer the bikes are comparable to eachother the easier your conversion will be from street to track. Tires and pads(poss lines and levers though not necessary) would be my prime focus before the extras.

On a side note, my rearsets are adjustable from factory on the 250/650. The a/m rearsets I got just cuz I cant corner with as aggressively since the pegs are alot shorter. I feel I get more leverage from the oem peg. But, the idea was to shorten it since I did consistantly hit on right turns(I lack on lefts)

Yeah I upgraded pads, lines, chain and sprockets recently. Thats all covered. Looking into suspension upgrades for my front forks and putting money in the piggy bank for the rear suspension sometime in the spring.

They will eat your boots up. I liked them other than that. I ended up with holes in both of my boots.
Are you out riding the bike in the current set up? Suspention?

I haven't taken the bike to the track yet. I need to upgrade the suspension. Just pulled the trigger on fork springs, still need emulator and oil to do the forks and putting money in the piggy bank to get a rear shock.

Changing mine to vortex made a huge difference. They do tear up the bottom of your boots, its because they grip so good.

Vortex are lower end FYI. If you do get them make sure you smoth down the pegs... otherwise be ready to ruin your boot's soles.
