How's it going guys. I've been lookin on this forum for a while now, never posted though. The guy that died tonight was a buddy of mine and the accident happened right outside of my neighborhood. Some of you might have gotten the chance to meet him. His name is Van, some people call him Red or Byrd. He worked at Precision Cyles as a general sales guy, he was a of a guy. The accident happened right at the entrance of my neighborhood. He was goin up Westheimer towards highway 6 when an eighteen-wheeler pulled into the neighborhood. My buddy ran into the side of the eighteenwheeler towards the back, he hit right where the back set of wheels are. I went to the scene about 20 mins after it happened seeing that people were callin me to see if i was the one that had died. After showing up, what was left of the bike looked familiar but i didn't want to imagine the worst. The scene was bad, I sat trying to distinguish whether it was him or not. After a couple of hours it was confirmed that it was him. He will be missed...

RIP Red...

Do you have a pic of him? I was working westside and ran a call at Precision Cycles. I got a chance to meet some of the staff. Some dude on a Busa was mad that one of the techs test drove his bike to see what was wrong with it and the chain snapped on the service guy. They called HPD becuase the guy was about the chain and wanted the shop to pay for the damage. I wonder if he was the guy I talked to. Sorry to hear bout your friend.
