I know a guy who was riding a wheelie out in baytown at 2am awhile back and a carload of dudes leaving a bar saw him and tried to keep up and watch. They went off the road into a ditch and it killed all four of them. He tried to help them out, as they were still alive when he ran down to their car, but they were all smashed up.

(I have no idea if the weather contributed, but...) Keep in mind that cold air = cold tires = less traction at start-up. Also, cold air = cold body, and your mind can wander, your hands and feet can start going numb, and you are generally more tense when riding. All of these can lead to more mishaps than usual, even for an experienced rider.

Let's all remember to play it safe out there guys n gals. Every ride that you can walk away from is a good one.
