SV650. You can get a ride on my 250 if you want to see how it rides and feels. The riding position is very comfortable as you're more upright and is really lights. Power and acelleration is another story though but on the 250 you'll be more focused on form and riding skills vs speed. The SV650 is a similar platform compared to the 250 but with more oomph in torque and not a screaming monster where you have to wring its neck for power like the 250. You are welcome to ride my 250 to get a feel for it.

Try a Ducati! The riding position is similar to a SV.

Got a pretty red one I would consider selling you. PC3 yoshi exhaust.. reasonable price. Or f u just wanna try an SV you can come ride it.
This would be a good choice. Got everything u need. Not too extreme, but still fast and powerful.

I know a proper way (the most energy conversing way) to pick up a dropped bike if u r interested.

The only concern here is the height (no offence)

Get what you want, but I would not get an R6 if you're concerned about comfort...it's the least comfy of the 600's

+1. Agreed.

I would look at an F4i(or older CBR). That was my first and had blast on it. Comfortable, smooth, and easy to maneuver.

another one for SV650 (my first bike was 2001 SV650S)
or 650 Ninja (er6f or er6n)
or fz6 if you must get Yam

i'd personally think that the modern 600Rs demand a bit of riding experience

Sorry it's taken so long to respond to this thread......completed my MSF training with flying colors today and really appreciate all the advice.

As for the R6, I would still like to get one since I've heard it is a really good track bike, and I feel that track days would be good for me and I've heard you can learn a lot about your bike in the process. I'm going to venture over to some dealers this week to sit on a few different styles and models just to make sure I can get the comfort and riding position down. I will definitely keep all of your suggestions in mind because I'd hate to waste my time and money on something I hate. Thanks everybody

Quick Tip here, when u sit on a bike which u find the seating position is not what u want, don't think "oh, I'll grow into it"
The truth is, you won't. It only gets worse when the ride gets longer. So pick one that you feel comfortable to start with.

Worst comes worst, get a whatever bike (say a 250s), bring it home, and take over that yellow Bee. it suits u better from where I see it.

I think that's what I'm going to do, Lucar and I think it would be best to find a cheap 250 to get more practice on and then upgrade to a 600 or 1000, depending on how I feel. Plus, if I happen to drop the bike, like I'm sure I will, then I won't have to worry about it too much.

Oh, and btw it's only a matter of time before I'll be up to Lucar's riding skills, hope he's ready for it
