Lost my KEY -- What to do?!?!

I lost my keys, called honda and they said to look up for KEY CODE on the Ignition Switch. And if there is none, i have to get the ignition + fuel tank cap replaced. Is there any way around it?

Apparently key costs 9 bucks if i know the code. But how many codes were on 07cbr600-RR (Black & Grey) version?

She needs some riding and pampering after-wards. she is cold and lonely parked in the garage. Help me, help her! lol

I have a key and ignition at my house but you gotta get a key made for the tank. my suggestion is to find a local locksmith that makes keys bring your title showing that its your bike and not stolen.

They can work there locksmith magic and make you a key by hand. Cost me $30 buck to have it done in Galveston on my old bike.

When you get this big clusterfuck all sorted out, get a 2nd or even 3rd copy of your key made. Store it, keep it at home somewhere where you will know where it is.

I ordered 2 OEM Suzuki keys for my gsx-r on eBay, shipped for only 25$. A key for your CBR, cost only $5.49 Shipped

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Key-Blank-Fi...#ht_505wt_1159

ACE Hardware can copy them for $3.99 per key.

I am assuming when you bought the bike there were 2 keys and a small rectangular metal stamped plate with numbers on it "Suzuki does and im thinking honda has one as well." This number you will need to have honda get you another key. IF the salesman put in the key number into hondas system "most dont" then you may be able to call honda and have them pull up the information by vin. You can only do this if the salesman actually put the information in which most do not.-- again this is assuming hondas system is somewhat similar to suzuki.

I can make a key for you if you still need it. The code is stamped on the ignition housing. I cant remember if its visable w/o pulling it off though. PM me if you need help.

Honda does not have a field in the warranty reg for a key code like Suzuki does, but I sure do appreciate you blaming the sales people , as its the admin office that warranty registers the units...

Any reliable lock smith? or should i say MOBILE-Locksmith. My bike is locked in garage and i dont really have a truck to tow it.

I'd appreciate if you know a lock-smith that would come out and is RELIABLE.
