Thumbs down Almost ran off the road..

This is by far the closest encounter I have had on my bike.

So I'm cruising at around 80ish one 610 headed south around Bellaire when all of a sudden out of nowhere a bike passes me in the next lane he had to be doing at least 50 more than I was. I learned a long time ago that bikes travel in groups so i check my mirror and look behind me... Not a full second later i get passed by 3 bikes back to back I'm in the left 1/3 of the lane and they ALL pass me at over 100 in the middle of my lane with an empty lane to the right of me. All within inches of me.

Altogether there were about 10-20 bikes not quite sure as its hard to count when i'm using all my focus to move as little as possible in order to not get by one of these ridiculous passes the riders of this group.

Had I been a new rider I may have panicked and moved when the first bike passed me. This would have cause about an 8-10 bike accident that could easily have been avoided.

I am all for riding fast and all that jazz, but try to be smarter about it... I could have easily been killed along with several other bikers in your group do to your actions. I sincerely hope at least one of the riders from that group is on these forums so they can pass the word

I caught back up to the last one. I wanted to complain but i dont know sign language

It was just scary because I usually dont get passed much and I went from riding alone to being completely surrounded and Praying to that nobody was trying to pass to my left as there was No space in the lane and i definitely didnt want to go into the shoulder in case there were more people coming in hot with no "out"

Thanks for the apology! No harm came of it

...wondering if the accident @ 610/45N was related to this 'event' also.

This was going south and then around the south part of the loop.. but hey it could be. Although I hope it wasn't. I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

I was on 610 south in Bellaire a little after midnight headed to Meyerland the holy land Israel. Ivan and the crew were getting ready to ride when I left so I don't think it was them. Just Saying.
