Its the ethanol content in the gas that's the problem not the carbs. I used to use a fuel stabilizer in my 250 when I knew I wouldnt run it for a few days.

I dont see the point in buying a NEW first bike. Especially a 250...look at old 250s or even ninja 500s.

It's all about supply and demand and my post was directed at everyone guessing about models and price, not anyone in particular

We only have the 2 models, so I don't know what you were looking at (or which location you were at)

STANDARD CBR250 $3999 +TT&L
ABS $4599 +TT&L

and to repeat IF YOU DO NOT LET US KNOW YOU ARE WITH MH, YOU WILL NOT GET SPECIAL PRICING

Cruising at 70mph is no problem. Peek torque is around 6500rpm and you csn feel it dying down around 75mph. Average 55mpg city with a lot of throttle.. fuel injected comes in handy when it's cold like this. I've never ridden the ninja 250, but i'm sure even I did, I still would have the cbr250r.

When in doubt, always go for a Honda...

Just got one!

...and I have to say, it is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay different than my RC51. Seemed to be a nice idea to have something inexpensive to take to the track, but I'm not so sure now... I'm afraid I'd get run over! Might just need to put a few more miles on it and see what I think then.

Yeah, but those guys are F-A-S-T! This bike would be in the really, r-e-a-l-l-y lightweight class...just not used to gettting over about 3rd at that track, on the CBR250 I'm pretty sure I'd never get below 3rd. It definitely needs some performance upgrades and that awful grain-silo sized CAT exhaust has got to go...hopefully it will feel a bit zippier then.
