He is getting the young male rate hike, but still,

I think that rate right there is a reason to go used and build up a no claims record.

Sorry again for the miscommunication.
I have been following your threads here and even your videos on Youtube.I was in your shoes about 2 years ago so I can understand your excitement, but you need to remember what you are buying is not YOUR BIKE, but your FIRST bike !!

There are a lot of things you need before you need to change out the clocks (Helmet, Jacket, Gloves, Boots, Pants). I originally went out and bought all the gear and in the intervening 2 years, as I have found what worked for me (Shoei X11) and what didn't (Joe Rocket jacket and Icon Boots) I have replaced/upgraded everything except my Helmet (X11 !!).

Take it easy and I look forward to the video when you actually get YOUR FIRST BIKE !!

$300 a month for a 650?!b Jesus.. I'm only paying $60 on a 1015 and I'm a stubborn teenager as well.. You should shop around some more.

Have you considered a lightly used ninja 500? I just did my 2 year stint on an old style (2007) 250 and it got pretty frustrating after a year. IF you do get a 250 don't put any money in to it. It is a great bike to learn on and lots of fun to throw around in the turns BUT it's not a bike you should 'modify'.
