How to effectively destroy a motorcycle

Sometimes, we dont quite realize how lucky we are when we walk away form a crash. After watching a close friend get up and walk away from this crash at Road Atlanta this weekend, I have a renewed sense of appreciation for being able to get up and walk away from every crash I have been in. We all know someone who hasn't, and I prayed extra hard thanking that Tim was able to walk away from this incident with minor injuries. I don't have the picture, but it may pop up soon, but he actually seemed to be sleep walking after the crash and got up and was walking towards the bike and as you can see all the bikes still making there way thru. Tim is crazy fast and checked out at the start this was turn 2-3 area at Road Atlanta on the first lap.

that turn was tricky all weekend! You are hard on the gas coming uphill as you crest the hill you are flicking the bike hard left and getting on the stoppers(brakes) the track was cold all weekend and sometimes you actually drift with both wheels. The front is light coming up the hill then as you crest it the rear gets light. Sometimes it just happens.

John Haner (I believe) did that to SOAP's scooter at Cressen years ago. After the race they had a pic of it hanging from a fork lift in the pits. There was LITERALY not a single, usable part left on it other then maybe some fasteners....

(side note, Road A isn't Road A with out the gravity cavity and the straight shot from it to the bridge embankment up into T11)
