New in.. old out ?

I've been thinking about trading in my 09 yellow R1 for a '12 special edition white R1.. technically, 21 settings of "traction control" (or so) but color, miles and revised overall bike got me thinking.. I know there's guys out there that know more about bikes than me, so this is my question..

should I? or should I not ?

Lucar, When did u throw a new Akra on?

I said no, the 21 setting is just too fancy to be practical, you prolly won't use half of them. And if you like the look, ask the House of Paint to do it for you and throw in some personal graphic while you are at it for cheaper and real unique look of your own.
Besides, u have the faster Yami yellow

+1. You're better off just purchasing new plastics or having your existing ones painted. I would opt for the former, that way when you get bored with the new scheme, you can just put the yellow plastics back on.

but then again, the 2012 model does look a bit more aggressive with the new eyes tho

I still say no but if u have the cash, go for it.
We only live one time, so do whatever makes u happy bcuz you are at least pleasing one person.

Oh, and make sure you throw a slip-on. R1 just doesn't sound right w/o it.

I like your current bike better or the new R1 with the other paint scheme IMO. But as another said do what makes you happy.

On a streetbike you never ride in the wet, there is nothing the new model gives you that's worth it.

Its the next generation. They've adjusted styling slightly, made a few other minor tweaks as well. The biggest addition is traction control. The motor is, for the most part, identical.
