i hope i get these tires fixed and ready by then.... we'll see i might just take them out the way they are and get my last ride out of them... but i would hate something to happen... they still look about the same, and whats-his-name said id be able to probable get about 2 more good rides out of them... ill just keep an eye on them, but i should be fine on 149 beacuse the side of those tires are still pretty good.

well the way we usually ride is you find your place in the line where you dont feal pressured by the person behind you, and you dont pressure the person in front of you... on the stretches do your thing and when we get to a turn... or every once in a while, we'll stop and make sure we still have everyone... but last time i checked i was still a squid. lol. how long have you been riding calie0...

dave i dont think ill be able to replce this by saterday... cj said they probably have a week (hes a little more ballsy than i am) and a few of the guys at the starbucks who knew what they were talking about said i had at least 2 more good long rides after this.... its really not that bad, and the sides are fine so it wil be good. im about to call up Motorcycles Unlimited, cycle gear, and K's and check out some prices on some different things and as far as the tire goes... ill probably buy it off ebay after i get done calling these guys, have it here pretty soon and have it on by the middle of next week... and ill probably save myself at lesat $100... if its not worth it on ebay than ill just go hit up Motorcycles Unlimited.

well youve been riding longer than i have... ive got about 3 mos under my belt... but im learning pretty quick... ive already put over 4000 miles on it... the only thing that stops me from riding my bike is the rain... but anyways, my first time going out on these twisties i was very curious... wondering what all the fuss was about... i didnt know what could be funner than just hitting th highway with a group of guys, but OMG... that was the funnest ride ever. it will take a little practice to get any speed around the corners... and your gonna hear everyone saying take it easy... just hang in the back and WHATEVER you do... dont cross that yellow line...

anyways, what do you ride.

calie, this ride wont be at breakneck pace, probabaly just slightly over the speed limit, all of the corners on 149 are wide and sweeping, and very forgiving for beginners. You can handle it, just ride at your own pace, dont try to race with the leader, and just have fun.. like i said, we wont be out there flying. (at least I wont)

Its all about the ride, not how fast you get to the end.

149. - http://www.motorcycleroads.us/roads/tx_fm149.html

After you pass Anderson is where it gets little more technical with tighter turns, last time we went all the way to erwin or whatever, but after anderson the roads get a little dangerous (those little tar 'patches' are everywhere including some pretty tight corners), so this ride i think we will stop and turn around at Anderson.

Yeap be very careful on 3090 they just put some fresh ones down on one of the first right hand turns. My front slid a S**t load last Sunday.
