Will the seller refund you the money? If not, turn his in along with the bike.

why should he? he clearly stated everything correctly in the for sale thread?
in the second for sale thread, he even titled it "parts bike"

lokati. my advice is to ride it like you stole it, use it as a stuntbike or whatever. and just make sure to 1. not invest more money other than tires and lights, and 2. make sure to keep all documentation that you bought the vehicle like the way it is. and if you ever get pulled over make sure u have license registration insurance and inspection. and hope the cop wont check the vin because you have all those things. cuz if he does and he is smart on this subject your bike will be confiscated and destroyed

a parts bike is different than an illegal bike, you can't sell something illegally and claim it as parts because the buyer assumes all the parts are usable. and a re-stamped frame is not usable, infact its in violation of federal law.

The seller has since stated that he will return the money and collect the bike though, so assuming he follows through all will be good.

If you read the original for sale thread. The seller said that he had bought this bike this way. And what are the police goin to do? Take the bike is the only thin they can really do. There's no way they could prove that the seller stole it.

I'm not looking to get anyone shafted here. He is more than welcome to involve the police (or not as the case may be) once he returns the money.
