Be careful at the Lone Star Rally

Latest word is that there have been issues in the MC world, and tensions are high between some opposing clubs. The word is that both of these clubs will be represented at the Lone Star Rally. This is really not good, and is a change from past Lone Star Rallies. Galveston is kinda considered sacred ground by some, and consequently has been avoided by others, so as to not show disrespect.

Some may recall that just recently in Reno, there was a nasty shootout between a couple of clubs, and it continued throughout their event, multiple incidents.

My best advice would be to travel in groups, and avoid being anywhere around the outlaw motorcycle clubs. They're not likely going to screw with you in particular, but you don't want to be around if there is any kind of breakdown in civility, as you could be a casualty of the situation.

If you need any more details, PM me...

There is a certain club that has publicly forbidden other clubs from wearing colors. This is nothing new

Bandidos are always there......so the other group must be the Hells Angels.

yep, the galveston chapter of a certain group has always been a little (?) more determined to defend their territory than some of the other chapters of the same group has... and maybe with some good reasons..but...
In fact I was surprised when the group originally consented to "allow" the rally to be held there to begin with. I must say I am surprised that things have gone on this long without any major issues before now. Being in the middle of a measuring contest would not be a good idea...
but then again rallies are not my thing any way...

not so sure about that... I don't remember a running battle between those two clubs since the late 1960's back at allens landing...The Angels have some corporate offices here in Houston but am not aware of any other club activities here...
I can not remember the name of the last club they had open war fare with, but there was a running battle for awhile that included guys getting shot off their bikes on south 45... but that has been some years back now... open long running violence has not happened for some years now.. maybe it is over due...and as long as it stays between them... so be it... it is just others getting caught in the middle that bothers me... what they do that does not hurt me is none of my business....and I do not want to know about it...
there is always going to be drugs and prostitution...so why mess with it...

Here in lies the problem.....when things break out, it usually doesn't stay just between the two parties involved. Innocents tend to get caught up in the cross fire.

red and gold really don't like to bring attention to themselves. their moto is. "you can play in our sandbox as long as you don't in it" now saying that, if you do decide to drop a duce in their sandbox, I WOuldn't want to be around when they find it.

Yet another reason to avoid that fest. Why can people just ride, and leave it at that.

Hells Angels boss was killed September 24th 2011. Has nothing to do with the Banditos

Sounds like the Vagos and the Hells Angels aren't playing nice. I would def be careful at the rally this year.

Intriguing, really.

Not my cup of tea, but I would like to hear the backstory, and see how it unfolds from far far away
