Post A short story and a question

So Sunday morning i was heading a meet in Katy... around 0645 i got into I 10 heading west. and that's when it happened...

I ran over what i think was a piece of wood, small enough to go under my bike without bouncing over and hard enough to bend both my rims... yup freaking both of em. A friend and my dad woke up to go get my so i thank em my Dad and Sean aka Spike, also wanna thank Crash for texting me seans number lol and "Helos or Helios" im not sure and idk his name he stopped and checked up on me see if i was ok.

Anyways man what a Sunday morning no ride and no bike... so first thing today i started looking for a new set of rims, i went to a few local shops and asked a few people posted a question here earlier about where i could find em. i looked in the ebay, gixxer forum too see if anyone knew i also hit the craigslist. But what i found is a little out of my price range, and new is no option. so used is what i want...

But straightened rims? Has anyone had any experience with getting this done? i have found a site for a local shop idk if i can talk about em here, but i wanted to see if this is good i have no idea how can this turn out. maybe one of you knows of someone who does good work i rather take my bike to a shop that has been referred than walk in and hope for the best. i have attached some pics of what happened and how the rims look any suggestions welcomed . To get it straighten or not...

thanks

Lol man have i learned a lesson,

tires will prob. be fine, but no telling till you air them up again.

call tom. they can prob. dismount the tires. they prob. don't want to mess w/ the whole bike, just the wheels.

they are reasonable too.
