Capturing racing videos just got REAL

Next year cmra I expect to see some racers running these, so those at home can watch live footage motogp onboard style.

I know I am dreaming, because the wifi at most tracks doesn't cover the range of the track

hmmm....more gadgets to install on my dirtbikes 12v system!

* wireless router
* satellite internet

I hope the bacpacs work for the hero 2, which I will undoubtedly need to purchase.

EDIT: or I hope this wifi bacpac for hero 2 works with the hd hero 1.

You can install a mini transmitter on your bike that will output to an easy 2 mile range. The gopro already has a video out.

Not so great for the dirt guys way out with too many LoS breaks, but for track guys even at TWS (Texas World Speedway) you could easily use it.

Sorry for double post...finally figured out to "Click for press release"

It looks like there's no immediate need to switch to Hero 2...unless I want to stream video or pics...I guess I will be getting a Hero 2. I will be digging up more info on the wifi bacpac and remote. I imagine it can let you start and stop the cam from a distance...great for timelapsing i suppose.

The Wi-Fi BacPac and Wi-Fi Remote are also compatible with the original HD HERO camera, but functionality is limited to remote control only. Video and photo streaming is not supported.
