When I was about 4 or 5. My grandfather would pick me up from school on his '88 Honda Shadow. It's been in my blood ever since.

My dad had motos when I was very young and he was in college and med school, but I don't remember caring about them one way or the other. He got rid of them once he started doing rotations and forbade us from riding them.

Until I took MSF I thought the bike would kill me. I still have an awesome respect for the beast, but I'm no longer afraid of it.

BTW- my sister rides, my kids ride, my hostage rides, and my dad rides again.

I do have a photo of my on one of my dad's old bikes, but I would have to find it...

I think I was around 7 or 8 when my Dad got me a little Honda 50. I must have ran that thing into everything in the neighborhood, including my Dad's Nissan car and the fence in the yard I loved that thing, and I firmly believe that the experience I got on it as a kid has saved my on the street more times than I can count

When I was about 8 my older brother took me on a ride on his Suzuki 250. No gear or anything and scared me to death. I remember him doing a u turn on the highway kind of fast and thought I was going to fall off the bike. He ended up buying me a Honda Trail 90 a couple of years later. I rode that bike till I was around 14 and then just lost interest in bikes till about 6 years ago. I bought one and took the safety course and haven't looked back since.

Good one: growing up in Durango, CO in the sixties there were a lot of riders. My brother got a Suzuki 175 2 stroke when he turned 16. So, that was 1967. Our buddy Phil Loose got the first, red, Honda Super 90 when he turned 14, that was 1966. Before that, Crawley's Sporting Goods in Durango, on main street was the first Honda dealership, and sold a lot of Trail 50s. That was around 1965. So, there you are. I bought a Honda MT 50 (yellow and white) in 1968 and a Honda Scrambler 175 in 1970. I have been in love with motorcycles since I first saw Phil ride that red S90. I will never forget seeing the first Kawasaki Triple 500 go down main street in a cloud of blue smoke, the sound was sublime. yes, I love bikes! I am seriously after my next one, and pondering the options.

I was probably 4 or 5. My uncles had big harleys and CB750s which didn't interest me much at the time..

Then my neighbor got a Yamaha 100 trail bike and I was, , WANTWANT! it's *almost* my size!

Not sure what happened to that 100, but my dad and I rode with the neighbor and his father to pick up that 100 from dealer after service/repair and that's when I saw what now I believe to be a Suzuki JR 50 or something, and I was like DAD, loooooooook.. this one IS my size!!

All he said was, "Your mom would KILLLLLL me!". Needless to say he had to drag me out of there while I was throwing the mother of all hissyfits.. on the ground screaming and crying.. BUT IT'S MY SIZE!!! over and over!

Not much has changed to this day.

It was a lengthy process for St Peter to let me out of the pearly gates. He said I still have to try out to come back in.

Ha ha, thanks man.
Actually it is an Italian mini replica of the MV-Agusta GP bike back in the 70's.
Manufactured by Omer Italy under license (back in the day) Not too many pieces were made and I don't think Omer exists anymore, but I have gotten emails from all over the world w a few owners that try to put a club together and learn more about the bike. It had full suspension and brakes and a single 50cc 2-stroke with twin pipes! Impressive for its year!
