Event or Ride Question

So I have noticed that normally when we go on Sunday rides... the average time spent on the ride is minimum 4 to 5 hours... Me personally I do not have a problem... I would park my bike in my living room if I could but, my girl loves riding with me... and 4 to 5 hours is a long time on the back of a bike.. Does anyone agree to bring their girls on a ride and plan a trip more towards that idea? If not tell me and I will just tote her around the city... hahahaha

"Deal with it.....girls ride too!"

Happy wife - Happy life

The 4-5 hours are not spent riding...Maybe half riding half talking and eating..

I think she will be good.

to ME (please tell carolina that its just me!) I rather NOT having my girl in the back of my bike when I do ride like this.. I dont mind taking my girl out to watch me play Golf or out to the movies or track days as long as the riding I'm doing is not DANGEROUS then she can come.

I think of her every second she's in the back.. the speed, corner speed, long distance riding etc.. its not fun for a passenger (specially a noob) passenger.

I rather take my girl out for a little cruise around town to go eat or watch a movie or just a little cruise less then an hr so she can get a little fun of what I love doing.

Long distance + sport bike = no fun!.

My main concer about riding with my wife is that if something ever happened to us while on the bike it will be a lot easier for one of us to be hurt then both of us with 2 kids... who will take care of them if something ever happened to the 2 of us?
I'm a little selfish on the end where I think its ok for me to get hurt then having my wife on the side of the road waiting for an ambulance.

When we ride we do not plan on crashing.. we dont spect to eat every time we put a foot out the door. But taking her on rides like this (Group rides and lots of curvie roads) it put boths of you in danger.

this is just me.

I don't mean at all to NOT take her out.. just to keep in mind when you have her in the back seat to take care of her and not just think of you but to think of her at all times until the kick stand comes down.

I did lots of stupid when we started riding together.. we would be doing 100+ on the freeway and going in and out of traffic... after my 1st accident I came to think how stupid I was and you dont think what could happened at that time until its too late.
