I currently have 4 bikes in the garage, 3 liter bikes and 1 600. I ride the 600 the most right now. I've been riding liter bikes for years with a 750 thrown in here and there, but I really like my 600.
With 1 tooth down on the c/s sprocket it's got plenty of power / acceleration and handles great, and if I just want to cruise I don't have to be as concious of throttle position.

When it came time to buy a track bike I had the same dilemma. So I decided on a gsxr 750 cuz it weighs about like a 600 and ahs noticeably more power.
It's worth considering.
I like mine so far (only 1 trkday). Really it's a matter of choice based on type of riding, skill level and sak size.

Actually if someone tries to throw that in my face, I just laugh, say ok, and wonder where the they use all that power. Let them pay more for the bike and insurance. . .not worth it for 'bragging' rights.

It's more fun when you have that 600 and the guy on the 1000 thinks he is king t till you you make him watch your 600's tail light fade in the distance.
Or he tries to run off and leave you and can't seem to make it happen "aint that right PSYCHO 1000" :laughing6 Been there done that.

I don't have a personal preference, seriously, I just ride the best thing I can afford at the time and be happy that I'm doing it =)

Dude i have an 06 750 now. Ive gone -1 in the front, full exhaust, bmc race filter and pc3. Ive done all this stuff to it to try and get it to run better and now im not satisfied. And ive only had the bike for 8 months and this is how i feel. I dont know which way to go. I mean i miss my 600 but ive ridden my buddies 05 gsxr1000 and loved it but at the same time i rode my friends 06 r6 and loved that bike too. Oh man im confused. I should be happy with what i got but im not. And I know im not the only one whos felt like this.

Be happy that you got a bike. There are millions in this world who will never know the thrill of two wheels.
