With the level of stupidity you displayed, I didn't care to risk any risk assuming context and went with verbatim.

what the happened to this site?

Distracted cagers on cell phones kill bikers all the time. If you have rode for any considerable distance you've probably had one come into your lane or make a quick left turn in front of you cause they weren't thinking about where they were going or hitting the brakes hard when they're not even at an intersection yet. The OP did something about it and you all . you with a capital F. A text can wait. If you're a capable driver, bluetooths are dirt cheap nowadays. In the car, you should be focused on driving and getting where you need to be.

Whiney gotta ...

Personaly (happened twice today) when I get moved over or cut off by someone on the phone, I just advoid it and then when they see me and are all startled I give them the little phone hang up hand sign, a thumbs up and little wave and I scoot on by in traffic.

We all up. Try not being a about it and when you up maybe someone won't be a to you....

Not that we don't know it's dangerous texting while driving, are there stats on biker deaths per phone-caused accidents?

Stats do show that if you can't drive and talk on a phone at the same time, Bluetooth doesn't make a difference.

how many times has anyone ever screamed murder under your lid when you see dumb people on the road wishing there was a cop around, I've noticed that at least every 5th car that passes me or I pass is NOT on the phone

I'm with Bevo... shoot the texters

So far as "gee, she waited till she was stopped at the light".. yeah, I really love it when I get to sit thru a second or third light cycle because some self centered idiot was too busy texting/yapping and sat thru the green...

I like to wait until the light is yellow and lay on the old air horn and watch them jump out into the intersection on red... that'll get their attention!

Hope that doesn't cause an accident that hurts an innocent driver/rider that has a green light...

As opposed to me getting rear ended.. by the guy behind me texting who glanced up and saw green...

If everyone wasn't so self absorbed and addicted to the stupid phones, we'd all have a safer time on the roads.

Its a mute point people, 1 in 6 drivers are on their phone anyways. Learn to ride more proactively, it's not going away anytime soon.

What I really wanna know is how OP got his bike in REVERSE.
Sweet move.

I'll give you props for your move.

We shouldn't need a law telling us that talking/texting while driving is a bad idea- we SHOULD be smart enough to refrain from doing it on our own.

(Yes, I do talk/text on occasion, but try to refrain as much as possible)
