Under this new law a Defendant commits a Class C Misdemeanor offense if he/she uses a cell phone or mobile device in a school zone, unless he/she is stopped or using a hands-free device. Note: this applies if the jurisdiction has posted a sign giving notice of the law.

Additionally, bus drivers with minors on board may not use a cell phone or mobile device whether or not the driver has a hands-free device.

Also, drivers under 18 in certain instances may not use cell phones while driving whether or not they use a hands-free device.
I think your confusing it with the 2 second rule ,which applies to food that is dropped on the floor.

I stand corrected, it is the 5 second rule . 80% of Americans confuse the 5 second rule with the 2 second rule.

lol, no I didn't make it up. like I said, it was either a proposed law that I thought went into effect long ago or it was repealed and I didn't hear about it.

AS for 'school zone', no zone...but there's a high shool right on I-45/Cypresswood and plent of that love to blow the red light and ignore the stop signs.
The cop only watched and followed after OP snitched on here (that was his reason for putting her under a microscope) if a cop is singleling you out after someone snitched it wont be hard for them to find an excuse to pull you over.

Yeah, he didnt make the cop do it, but he gave the cop a reason to suspect her. You don't know what possibly the cop would have been thinking. Perhaps he got the impression that maybe she almost got in his lane, cut him off or was swerving on the road and almost hit him, and that's why he felt so compelled to even catch the officer's attention.

By the op story, the girl only was texting when stopped, he did not say anything about her while driving...If anything, she could have been doing the responsible thing and waiting till she stops to send out a short text. You don't know and neither does the OP.

that's like saying it's ok for a cop to follow a rider after being at a stop light a person on the side of him signals that you "might/will speed" because you are on a bike... That is all the cop needs to think you either were or are going to now and he is gonna follow you till you up...

seems pretty stupid to me...

I will congratulate the OP on one thing, giving us what is starting to feel like an epic fail thread...Good job snitch.

Yea right, the cop waited and watched for him to POST on MH...

How do you know what events precisely took place beyond what was posted?
Ah ya don't...

I figure the cop will follow til you up, he get's bored or figures you're fine.

....I'll concede you being a highly experienced expert of stupid though. <shrug>

Ulric- my bad on my post..."here" was suppose to be "her" on my first sentence...my bad on the mispell but it's even more your bad for being an idiot and not using context clues on the sentences to follow what I was saying...

I guess you're excused...you get the credit.

some broad?! really?! you cannot go around making stereotypes like that when you, in fact, could not see if she had wide hips.
