Nutruel question

Usually i can put my bike into netruel easily without having to move it slightly fowards or backwards. today, to go into nutruel, i have to move it slightly fowards or backwards .. if not itll just go into second or into first depending which gear im in. i got a 2006 r6 with about 15k miles. it was warmed up and ridin for a bit before i noticed it at a light. nothing major just need some input on why thanks
