lol, i think this whole people not liking the other " side" will go on forever. Im sure they think sport bike riders, are just little kids that want attention too. it's basically the same thing, old guys usually ride cruisers, young guys usually ride sport bikes, keep in mind i said USUALLY. not to mention a Harley / most cruisers are a totally diff ride. If im driving across the states, ill do it on a Harley. and as far as the "noise" makers, most Harleys COME from the factory loud, sport bike riders go out and buy pipes to make them loud, so does that make them cheap noise makers?

Actually, they come with factory exhaust and are pretty quite to be allowed to sell in noise db restricted ordinances. Harley recommends only replacing the exhaust after the bike is broken in. Usually after 1000 miles.
That's what I found out from the dealers

Nearly all new roadkings and all ultra classics come from the factory pretty loud can't speak for the others because I don't know. So if someone buys one for cruising its not their fault its loud.. unlike 90% of all sport bikes where people go out and buy exhaust JUST to be louder. So beevo saying its just an expensive noise maker is imo silly. They offer a great rode. The noise just happens to be a bonus.

Hello -

Interesting thread. Coke/Pepsi - Republican/Democrat - and just as old. I don't like Pepsi at all and I've had enough trouble with cruiser riders to where I won't waste my time going to the Lone Star Rally ever again. However - I DO want to meet up with "my kind" at Twin Peaks!!!!!!!!!!!!! (and not just for the bikes - ha ha ha)
