Unhappy HelP! bike won't turn on :(

ok...heres the deal.
i left my bike @ my GF's Apt last nite B/C we all went out 2 Drink.

i come back this afternoon and she won't start up.
Kickstand up.....key is on the ON. NO lights came up @ all (red engine light)
after a lil bit of turnin the key...the light comes up. i pop it into N, and give it a try. *CLick*, everythin shuts down. ive had the bike since b4 summer and ive never encountered this. is it a dead batt? would i need a jump ?
i have no idea what the problem is , and i gotta be @ work @ 6 :(

quick thinkin there, tex!

i know it rained hard at my house. i bet rainwater coulda shorted something and drained his battery. hopefully itll just need a charge, and not anything major

have you tried to push start the bike?

if you dont know how to push start a bike i can walk you through it, jus gimme a call at home, 713-988-8667

actually, . i have heard rumors that some ninjas cant be push started. not sure if its tru for a ninja 250.

If it starts smoking while you are riding it just go faster so the wind can blow it out.

I had the samne problem, i just bought a brand new battery and it fixed it

and ninja 250s can be push started if you can push it 20mph to get it into 2nd gear..:BangHead:

It took us about 20 mins of pushing to figure out it cant be push started:laughing6

Deffinately the battery! Dont get one from Cycle gear, they sell junk batteries. Get one from your local dealer, worth the money!
