Exclamation Reward: Stolen 2011 Hayabusa in Alvin

On the 5th or 6th of October, last week, two black men and one white man loaded up my new bike took off with it right in my apartment complex in Alvin, TX in the middle of the day. It is a factory stock white 2011 Suzuki Hayabusa with about 4k miles on it. The license plate number (I'm sure was removed) is 4KH092. I only had it for a few months and my full coverage insurance is already gonna short me 6 grand on it if it isn't recovered. Besides the monetary value, I love that bike and it occupied more than half of my free time. Please pass this around or keep your eyes and ears open for it. If there is anything else you would like to know about it, feel free to write me back or email me at j.brau.tx@gmail.com. I will happily reward $500 to one individual who provides any information that directly leads to the recovery of my bike if it's not already chopped up. Thanks guys.

GAP isnt a cure all. Say you pay cash and its stolen. The insurance will try to your eyes out. They will shop around for fair market value. They will come up with a BS number that is way less than what you just paid for yours. That is the amount they will offer. GAP only covers a difference between what is owed.

From what the OP wrote I kinda think its financed and he still owes the bank. But yeah I hear what your saying dealing with insurance companies sucks.

it's called an offer for a reason, don't think there's anything that stops you from negotiating with the ins co, or if need be....taking them to court.

That is sad to hear!

If I notice the plate, I will let you know.

One of the reasons I purchased the Hayabusa was due to its heft -- hoping it'd deter someone from stealing my bike. At least, I take comfort in knowing it took three individuals to pull it off.

$500 to the person who finds one of these thieves bodies. I'll need photographic proof

Thx for the responses. Fyi, after arguing with the agent for a while, it seems that I will be getting shorted 2-3k on the msrp and a portion of the tax title license fee back. And fortunately I might be getting a refund on the warranties from which I included in the 6k loss. And I paid mostly cash so I wont be under on the payout. And it happened in Morgan Oaks apartments in the middle of the day.
