I hear that Lone Star Rally has now replaced Daytona as the second largest event in the nation, behind Sturgis of course.

Wow that would surprise me. I thought the Lone Star Rally sucked when I went and don't plan on going again. I had a blast at Daytona though.

I think it is actually bigger than Sturgis in terms of actual attendance.

I'd still have had the arrested. A badge is not permission to commit assault and battery.

They can disagree all they want. Ask Holtsclaw how his disagreement went.

It's a fun time, fried alligator on a stick is pretty good, usually a good crowd. Have fun.
Seriously? People hop on other peoples bikes and hotwire them/load them in public at the rally?

Here's an important life lesson: People will naturally assume that someone isn't doing something illegal.

If they see a guy hot-wiring a bike they think: He lost his keys.

If they see a guy loading a bike into a van they think: Poor guy, his bike must have broke down. He has some good friends to help him out though.

Or they just don't care.

Don't trust that a crowd or witnesses will keep your bike safe.

All that said, you are still more likely to get food poisoning at the rally than have your bike stolen.

Well don't be too quick to jump that gun. Last year a couple of friends went and one of their bikes broke down. They had to load it into a truck to get it home. Harleys

Take a pic. Try to get a license plate or face of people or vehicles involved. Call the popo if you are really concerned.

I'm sure most other (cool headed) motohoustoners would agree that they would rather have something to give the police than a injured or dead brother trying to stop a bike theft.
