In this thread I asked opinions on what my next bike should be:
http://www.motohouston.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=191564

Cliff notes:
I started on a GS500F, sold it, rode my wife's FZ6R for a while, I needed my own bike.

I was set on a VFR800, or a GSX-R750. I searched for about a month, nothing really caught my eye, then I saw this for sale on here:

I absolutley love it. The hour long ride from Tomball to my house was a blast. This bike is a lot comfier than I expected. My commute is going to be a lot funner now..lol Still plan on riding the FZ6R also, going to split the commuter duties between the two.

Quite a step up from a GS500. Why the repainted fairings?

The fairings are OEM, just all the decals had been removed.

This is what it looked like when it left Honda

Get the OEM decals, and just leave it be.

Funny, the FZ6R is heavy. But the weight is laid out so it minimizes the effects. Power is ok. Comparing to say an R6, it has a lot better response and torque below 7000RPM, and pulls decent to 10,000. There just isn't the rush from like 8500 to 14,000rpm that the R6 delivers. My beef is the brakes. Initial bite is weak, and they don't "feel" powerful. They work, just don't inspire confidence. I do love the bike, it's comfy(the seat is shaped all wrong for me though, I get sore after about an hour). My wife picked good. I almost got her a CBR250R, when we went to the dealer, she didn't like how high the seat was. The FZ6R is perfect for her. She loves it.
