Blew my motor last night, what to do??

Last night I was heading home from ASI on the south side of Houston and hit a big pile of concrete when switching lanes on the interstate. Bent both rims and somehow broke a rod in the motor. I guess it was from the shock or something. I know I shouldn't have, but I tried to ride it a few exits down to park it in the garage where my friend works so it would be safe for the night(ruff part of town). Well the engine let loose about 2 miles too soon and I lost all power. It still cranks but makes the classic busted rod knock. My question is, should I tear the motor down and build it back up with some better internals, or just scrap it and buy a motor off ebay or something. Whats a good place to pickup some rods and pistons, JE or something? Also, does anyone know of a place around Houston that straightens motorcycle wheels? Any info is appriciated. Thanks guys

I may have a motor, call me tomorrow and I can let you know.
As far as wheels, if they're not too bad, either A1 or Sabs can do them. The tires and rotors will need to be off first.

if you "Spun a bearing" you would be better off picking of a motor for a few hundred bucks than taking a chance of having a machine shop "TRY" to get it back to factory condition and if they do think they can fix it they will charge you close to $2800 to all the parts and labor priced it on my f4i before.. Sabbs does baddass work on rims they fix all the broken subframes and cracked frames....

Motorcycles Unlimited will treat ya right and take care of you just get them to change the motor then its just quick and easy and your back out and riding

Well first I would get off my knees, wipe my mouth off, and start trying to regather my self respect. After that I wouldn't talk about it anymore--to anyone, except maybe a therapist.

Seriously though, new motor is the way to go in my opinion.
