HID kit for bikes like $24 + $14 shipping

have HIDs on all my veh. and the bikes.

fyi, they are NOT legal on any veh. unless they come w/ them on that car from the factory.

w/ that said never been pulled over for them (knock on wood)

and yes 4500k is the color to go, the higher the number the more blue to purple and less light output, the lower the more yellow and again less light output

and i agree 35w is all you need for the street.

i also recommend a wiring harness that has power from the battery vs using OE wiring to power them up.

I ride almost daily if is not raining in the morning. I consider the bike my main mode of transportation. No matter if is day or night. Actually I like more riding at night but not after 1:00AM. Too many drunks driving!!

If you are too concern about visibility, get the Olympia Nova Hi Vis Safety Vest is very sturdy and plenty of pockets, plus easy to fold and store when not in use.

If there is fashion consciousness mine would be in a permanent vegetative state. My coworkers think I look like the stay puff man from Ghost Busters when the temp drops to freezing. Sure beats caging though.

All,

Much thanks, I will think about the HID lights. I have a high reflective mesh jacket, and I will likely add reflector wheel rings to my bike too. I just want to ride the bike once in a while between 5 pm and 7 pm.

I ride day or night, doesn't matter. I have one of these trackside visor bags that I use when I ride to work in the morning with a clear shield and then swap to the tinted on the ride home. It goes around your waist but I find it fits me better over my shoulder. Once it's on I don't even feel it.

Or you can just look like a dweeb and do like this guy and wear sunglasses under a clear shield.

HID is a must
haven't had 'em on my bikes before and when start riding current bike was pleased how efficient HIDs are.
I also wear my sunglasses with clear visor during the day. I don't even have smoked visor, thinking of may be buying one, but then not sure if i want to carry extra visor. And i still want to have my sunglasses with me when i am not wearing helmet
