ride with junk in your pockets? what do you do

so I broke a rib, the break/fracture is exactly behind where the edge of my ez tag sits. The ez tag stayed in my front chest pocket.

Maybe the thing actually protected me, I don't know. I don't think it did.

I think I'm going to quit having keys, phones and such in my jacket pockets.

fire away...

i used to put everything in a backpack and take it anywhere i went on the street. including wallet/phone/keys. Much more comfortable than having all over the place in my pockets and possibly falling out.

i just carry bolts/marble/ball bearings in my pocket. My wallet, phone and keys usually go in the truck so if i take a slight fall i still have that stuff, and so i don't ever have to worry about something falling out of my pocket on accident cause i left it open

I usually put stuff in my side pockets on my jackets. Nothing behind those but fat. If I'm in one of my 1-piece suits, I'm usually wearing a backpack. I was on the track at Talladega GPR many years ago and found out the hard way that I'd left my car keys in the pocket of my shorts. I had a pretty fast exit from the bike and put a hole in the thigh of my leathers from sliding on top of my keys. Left a nice bruise on my thigh too.

Tankbag!...........anything big & bulky goes in there while I'm riding. I can take it off and carry it when I stop, if need be.

If I wreck and flys............who cares?

I have a huge trunk and just store everything in there - never have anything in my pockets unless I need gas, then I have my debit card in there.

I have what my son calls my man purse (it's a medium sized tool bag) that I always have strapped to the rear. It has my lunch, misc stuff and spare helmet visor.
I don't know how you guys do back packs, that drives me nuts....
