Heading to the Forest on Wed...good route?

Feel like finally checking out the forest this week but I dread the ride there...I'll be coming from the SW side. Probably just gonna take 59 up to Cleveland then down 45 to get back home. Any advice on what routes to take, places to see, things to do? I plan on staying there all day, probably leaving my place at 6AM then head home before traffic starts piling up...

Well i live on the north side. I got bored riding THRU the forest on 1375. It's a nice ride THRU the forest.

When i ride i tend to clip the edge of the forest, and make sure i take 149 and then ALWAYS make sure to ride 3090.

I will post up my route for you, and you can modify it to fit your needs. But this is my preference, i lead a ride this way at least once a week (weather permitting)

I'm actually going to ride that route today. 362 is a nice little warm up and then 3090 and 149 are the best. some people prefer 244 lol

but if you want to ride THRU the forest, then take 1375 off of 149 about 10 miles north of Montgomery (149 and 105)

Badass route, think I'll give it a shot then head down 1375 and check out the forest. Thanks a lot man.

ok whatever you do, dont go down 1375. We went yesterday and half of the road is no longer paved. It is a dirt/rock road. VERY DANGEROUS. they had no sign up that the pavement was ending then all the sudden we were doing about 90 and hit the rock road.

Glad no one went down.

So avoid 1375. but 3090 is real nice.

Parts of 149 are pretty bumpy now due to the drought. It's a good idea to stand on the pegs and get your off the seat. Your nuts will thank you

Guess it's set up soft. On Sunday several riders noticed how rough it was including maxgs who has a Íhlins on his GSXR 1000. 149 is nothing like it was two years ago

ohh, well yeah i know that! But its not so bad you have to stand up on the pegs.

State trooper almost hit me on 3090 at the 90 degree. short radius 15 miles an hour turn because he went in to hot in his Tahoe.

I don't like my spine jack hammering my skull so I get my off the seat. I took the lead on the way back on 3090 Sunday. Oncoming pickup had flashing lights and wide load sign. Around the next turn came an 18 wheeler straddling the center line. That was fun

Yeah crazy goes on out there. Came over a hill only to slide my bike ( didn't lay it down) because a truck and trailer with hay bails was coming at me in my lane. come to realize he was just trying to turn into his driveway. scary though! Felt my stomach eat my nut sack
