agreed and they prob. will. there's a diff. between civil and criminal law, and she should pay.

not been an expert I would thought that the law should be applied eually to everyone and the old lady should be charged with same charges as anybody else. then the judge or jury will make a sentence decision, which is completely different story...

I think the elderly should be treated with some lenience in this kind of situation. Unless someone was killed or it was malicious she should really just have her license taken away and put in a elderly care facility.

Just look at it as less of a person acting like and idiot and more an act of . Like a tornado or earthquake.

She sped off with tires screeching...no way she didn't realize what happened. BUT, looking at the way the article is worded, possibly there were no charges filed because it wasn't her, maybe she was in a similar car with body damage on the rear bumper. Which is why the investigation is still on going?
