I HATE BEES

I was going down NASA PKWY at about noon and I heard a "tick" on my helmet on the right side. I didn't pay much attention to it. Happens all the time, right? 15 seconds later that little bastage had worked his broken arsh way down under the padded edge. When I turned my head to check to see if it was clear to make a lane change I pinched him a little and he proceeded to inflict his great wrath upon my neck.

I musta looked funny as swatting the outta myself and shaking around like a wobble head on crack trying to get him outta there. Then it REALLY started to BURN. Glad it was only a honey bee.

This is my second time I've been stung while riding. Anyone else every almost lose it because of one of those spicy tarts nailing you when you're riding?

I did have a bee fly into my helmet, luckily for me I was able to open my visor and it flew out.

Not a bee, but I've had one of those nasty red wasps get stuck in my shoe while riding and stung the !#%T out of my ankle so bad it left a scar...not a pleasant, stress-relieving ride!

The other time I was doing about 80-90 and had my jacket open just a few inches on top. I wasn't wearing my bandana around my neck and I splattered on of those huge bumble bees just below my adams apple. It swelled up and I looked like I had two adams apples for about a week.

It's the reason I switched to a full face. I got one under my eye on the top of my check.

One flew up the sleeve of my jacket last week on my way home from the three sisters. He stung me and caused my right arm to swell up to something fierce.

My whole neck hurts today from that dang bee sting.
This past week I've been hit by all kinds of junk. Sometimes when I'm not on the freeway I'll have my shield up and just wear sunglasses, but they other day I was on HWY3 going south and I just decided to put it back down after leaving a traffic light. I was getting hit by a lot of sand. Just as I reached 60 all of a sudden WHAP some kind of huge bug bounced of the shield. Would have been right in the nose. It was dead center.

I had two fly into my jacket and sting me in the chest once I stopped at a light.
I thought i was having a heart attack at first.
Another time I put my jacket on with a red wasp inside of it.
It stung me 3 times in my side before I could kill it.
