Why does everyone always get/sound mad? Worry about yourselves? I'm petty sure the thread was opened, and more broadly, the forum was created, to share thoughts and opinions, amongst other things.

I just don't understand. :(

That's fine, but I just don't see a reaso for people to sound so bitter about everything.

I refinanced my bike through FCCU. Gave me a great rate!!

I'd say try a CU hands down !!!!

If you need help, PM me. The girl I work with does some magic with getting you the best rate!! EVEN if your credit sucks!

#1 - flawed logic. If a person can afford to pay a bank a monthly payment plus interest then a person can afford to pay themselves a monthly payment and EARN interest. All it takes is a little self control to say not yet.

/off soap box.

Back to topic, as other have said go to a credit union and ask for manual underwriting review of your credit worthiness instead of the I Love Debt Score (aka credit score).

That's true. However, If you have no method of reliable transportation, then that car (or perhaps motorcycle, if the person so chooses) becomes something that is necessary RIGHT NOW.

Usually if you have good credit the dealerships offer the best financing. I financed my Suzuki through their department and got 1.99% for 60months. Had I put $2,000.00 down I could have got 0%, but I knew I was going to be buying gear so I declined.

I believe you got 7.5% because you let them. I learned the hard way the first time and got 5%. Then I let my wife do the talking and she was settling for anything more than 2%. Of course we have around a 780 also. Those finance guy are never on your side.
