Checking in to Motohouston.com

Hey everyone,

Only today did I decide to check for a forum dedicated for riders in Houston... sure glad I found this one. I took the MSF course at Awesome Cycles in the summer, bought my bike maybe a month later.

I was originally going to get a 600, but then I decided it would be best to stick with a 250. I wanted to develop skills on a 250 that fear would keep me from developing on a 600. I ended up getting a used 2011 Ninja 250... and I love this bike. I'm so glad I got it over a 600... I love being able to redline 1st or 2nd and not be breaking the law. I also look forward to a novice trackday with one of the sponsor companies here... fastline sounds awesome especially with their 50% discount right now! I hope everyone there doesn't have a 600cc+ bike! lol

Nice bike.

And don't worry about what others think, 600 or 250....you should only ride for your own enjoyment.

Thanks for the nice welcome guys. I look forward to meeting some of y'all. Already have plans for the next two weekends though.

I haven't been able to ride my bike for almost a week now which freakin sucks! I changed my rear tire last weekend and took the tire with both the spacers to Cycle Gear... came back with only one. Noob mistake. Keep your spacers with you. Ordered some from ebay and they should come in this weekend hopefully. Haven't had a chance to ride in almost a week!

Also going to have a jetkit installed on my bike as well since I put on a full exhaust recently. Ordered the dynojet stage 2 jetkit - I don't feel comfortable at all messing with the carbs so I asked around, and mancuso off of 59 said they would charge $118 or something like that for labor. I guess that's reasonable. Anyone know of any places that would charge less and/or be more trustworthy to get it done right?

For sure. I was half kidding - the thought of being blown away on the straights at the track is kind of funny. I'm proud of my little ninjette though, no doubt about that.
