Stolen Bike

My buddies 06 red/black GSXR600 was stolen from the Alexan apartments in Webster yesterday night. He just called me, so I will get some pics of the bike as well as the vin #.

One thing to note is that his chain guard was painted an off shade of red, not black like it should be. Also it had mirror block off plates on it.

your buddy might as well just left the key in the ignition. In that complex , if you have a sportbike, you wonder when your bike WILL get stolen, not IF it will get stolen.:BangHead:

Does insurance cover the entire cost of the bike if stolen?
Or do they only offer you the on-line value of the bike

yeah! lets do.. like seriously.. i'll put my bike out there and see whats up.. and we have to do it at night because of certain legality reasons.. i can have a buddy who is a trooper with us too in uniform so that it can really be legit. if we bust one that would help a bunch of people.. and maybe follow them to their hide out location. have it all on tape and stuff.. i'd love to do this.

Stolen Bike + Apartments. Always in the same sentance. Get a garage. After the 3rd time the Insurance rates become of little silly.

lo jack runs about $500-$600 installed i believe. a one time payment.

but just because you have lojack doesn't mean you shouldn't have theft coverage on your ins. policy.

SWIFT E: depends on your insurance company. some insurance companies will actually pay you MORE than what your bike is worth. some may pay less. if you're insured through PETE @ state farm, ask him how much is the max they will pay if your bike gets took, he will tell ya.
